Welcome Little Jane

Life has been crazy, and I have given up on trying to update everything! But some things cannot be passed up. This past Tuesday threw us a little surprise when I woke up and to my water being broken. I actually didn't even realize it broke until I was at the hospital and they told me. We were at the hospital over 30 hours when they told me that my labor was not progressing whatsoever and they were going to have to do a c-section to get her out! This came as the biggest surprise of all because she was not even supposed to come out for four more weeks. Here are some pictures of the start of our new exciting adventure.

This is Jane and I in the recovery room. It was the first time that I was able to see her since they pulled her out. It was absolutely amazing to finally be able to hold her in my arms. Derek was able to go to the nursery with her and help clean her up and get ready to go. She still takes our breath away every time we get a look at her. Even though she was four weeks early, she weighed in at 5 lbs 12 oz and was 18.5 inches long. One of my favorite features on her is her long brown hair. I just can't get over what a beautiful baby I have! It didn't take to long to get her here once the doctors finally decided what they wanted to do. Derek said that the first incision took place at 12:30pm and our little girl was out and screaming by 12:46pm. There were no complications or problems, just one healthy kid with a great new set of lungs!!

This is Jane a day old. We were just hanging out in bed one time after her feeding. We love it when she opens her big blue eyes and just looks at us. She loves to snuggle with mommy and daddy, she is so spoiled. I don't know if she will ever be put down.

Aunt Megann is always so happy to come to the hospital to hold Jane while her parents sleep. It has been so wonderful to have so many freinds and family come and visit us while we have been here. Jane loves every one, especially her aunts.

This morning Derek didn't want to put her down after I was done feeding her so he picked her up and sunggled with her for the next few hours while they slept. I loved it. I kept looking over at them, it was so cute. Derek has fallen completely in love with Jane. He is always giving her kisses and telling her how beautiful she is, we are in trouble for the future.

Belly Shots!!

I have had a few requests for a new belly shot!!
So here it is, just me looking fat! I am 24 weeks along and have been loving it. She moves around all the time, but Derek still claims that he hasn't felt her yet! We are getting more and more excited for her to come.

CAUGHT!!!

Due to Michelle still being in Utah (my brother in law Aaron) can over last night at 11:30pm to come play some xbox with Derek! I was a sleep so I really didn't care to much what they did, and long as they didn't yell and wake me up! Yes that has happened before. So, much to my surprise when I woke up at 5:30 this morning to use the restroom and they were still up playing. I honestly could not believe my eyes. I am pretty sure that I called them morons and went back to bed! Derek finally crawled into bed at 6:30! I will never understand the strance that little boys can undergo when they are playing with thier toys! Shocking. I had to take a picture of them so I could remember that it actually happened! oh goodness. If anyone was wondering...yes that white laundry basket is full of Derek's candy. We had to upgrade from a basket! Just another one if his weaknesses!

Lunch with his Ladies

Derek was working up in Pheonix the Friday before Valentine's Day and we (my baby and I) decided to surprise him and bring him a heart shaped pizza from Papa Johns. It is just the little things that we do to show that we love each other. The pizza was quite good! We all enjoyed it!!

And the winner is...

Michelle and I were trying to come up with a list of why Oregon was so great...well we didn't come up with much. I was there a week and only saw the sun one time for about twenty minutes. This was a shock coming from my wonderful sunny home. It was decided however that the best this about Oregon is the French Vanilla Bean yogurt from the Tillamook Factory. You may think this is a slight exaggeration, but this is seriously the best yogurt I have ever tasted. My brother in law Aaron brought some down for me from Oregon and I won't even let Derek eat it. It's all mine!!

The wonders of Oregon...

In January, before school started up again, I packed my bags and headed up to spend a week in Forest Grove, Oregon with my sister in law Michelle. Here is a picture of Sami with a cow at the Tillamook Cheese Factory. Let me tell you it was good! We got some killer tomato soup, grilled cheese, and ice cream while we were there.

Here is Kaite just looking as cute as can be!

Just some more fun shots of the kiddos at the factory!!

The first day I got there the kids got into a suitcase and couldn't help but play dress up. hahaha...I loved it. They are just so dang cute!!

We had a blast that week, and I realized how grateful I was that I am only having one baby. I think I would go crazy having more than one. As much as I love my nieces and nephew they could be a handful. It was great being able to visit with them. I seriously can't wait until they come down this week to Arizona!!!! Yea for moving!

Our Little Girl!!!

Ok so I am not exactly sure why when I scan pictures in it turns out bad, but I just wanted to show everyone our little girl!! I know it can be hard to decipher anything from these pictures, but this is a picture of her face with her little hands on each side. I know she is posing already. Derek and I were both excited to find out; that morning I had a little talk with the baby and told it that it needed to show mommy its parts so we would know what it is. In the ultrasound her legs were wide apart and gave us a very clear, reassuring view of a girl. After the ultrasound I cried, no surprise there. We were so happy that she is healthy and everything looks wonderful.

They showed us her little hands and she has long skinny fingers just like Derek and I. Simply amazing the whole appointment was. Our little girl weighs 6 oz, and is in the 55 percentile. All of her organs are functioning great, it was fun to see the liver, kidneys, bladder, and stomach.

I actually lost weight since my last appointment, which I have no idea how that happened over Christmas. Derek has also gained no sympathy weight with me. Tough love. If anyone has any ideas on how to drink a gallon of water a day I would love to here them. I have been trying to drink more water but I can only put down so much, and it is apparently not enough. Advice would be wonderful if anyone has any.
